Gone but Not Forgotten

I have struggled with getting this blog post published. Last month I painted the most emotional painting for me to date. I smiled through my tears remembering the sweet lady whose hands are depicted in this painting as I put paint brush to canvas. She was a victim of what was diagnosed as dementia of an Alzheimer's type. Alzheimer's is a thief. It robs people of their memories, their abilities, and sometimes their very personality. No one survives it...yet. The Alzheimer's Association is working to end Alzheimer's. I cannot bring myself to part with my original painting, but I am now offering prints of the original here. I am donating 15% of the sales of these prints to help end Alzheimer"s.
