A Challenge to Start 2022

As many people experience after Christmas, this morning I was feeling just "meh", not really able to pinpoint a problem, but feeling a little down. As I scrolled through social media, I came upon a video by Gregg Braden (who is a scientist and spiritual teacher) here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0u-gb_Nz2mo . Braden is part Cherokee and has worked with tribal elders on heart/brain coherence.

Our heart contains a neural network and a MUCH more powerful electromagnetic field than our brain. Getting our brains to work with our hearts creates powerful solutions, stronger immunity, general wellbeing, healing, flow and happiness in our lives.

So this morning I began practicing an exercise to improve my heart/brain coherence. Versions of this technique are detailed in that video and also here: https://www.heartmath.org/resources/heartmath-tools/heartmath-appreciation-tool-and-exercises/ and here: https://bridgettereid.com/2018/11/15/shante-ishta/?fbclid=IwAR3IM_qdzFocuBPtvLnBFSzhp4zvZYNEi6zJtbWl98m7FDOt2J4EOjwMKgo

I felt instantly better!

Shante Ishta is a Native American term which translates to seeing with the eye of the heart. These heart/brain coherence exercises are meant to create better communication between our hearts and our brains. I challenge all of you reading this email to try these exercises for the first 21 days of 2022 to make it your best year yet!

I am uploading 4 new paintings (one of which is pictured here) today to the shop on my website.

May each and every one of you have a very happy and healthy 2022!
